Ahhh...What to do on
a weekend if you have a kid? Get out there and support your local community! I
highly recommend going to school fairs. Not only is it an awesome way to
support the school your child goes to, but it is just as awesome to support
your local community. These schools work so hard to put these events together
just so they can reward their students for their hard work and possibly raise
money. We, at With Thoughts Of You, have been fortunate enough to be a part of
two vendor fairs hosted by the PTA at Coral Springs Elementary. At this Bear
Fair, you'll see members of the PTA, Dr. Shaw (Principal), and Mrs. Brown
(Assistant Principal) walking around and speaking with everyone as if it were
their own party they were hosting. They are a very welcoming school, the
principal is always a part of their events, and the kids seem to have tons of
fun. Your child will be happy to enjoy things like face painting, a variety of
fair games, snow cones and other foods at Coral Springs Elementary Bear Fairs.
Even if it's just for an hour or two, you can either build memories with your
child or you can grab a few things from the vendors. It's truly nice to see a
school give their students opportunities to have somewhere safe to let loose on
a weekend. You can absolutely tell that this school really cares about their
students. It is unfortunate that we cannot say that about every school. I can
definitely understand why my niece enjoyed that aspect of Coral Springs
Elementary the year she came to Florida for her visit.
So what is it
exactly that we do at these fairs? At these Bear Fairs, we bring some of our
products which are available for purchase. You'll be happy to know that we do
usually sell our products at discounted prices at events like these. We know
that money can sometimes be tight and we know that YOU and YOUR KIDS are there
to have a good time just like everyone else. Isn't it awesome when you can save
money? I think so! Besides, what's more joyful than seeing your child use some
of that money you just saved to help create some of their most memorable
moments?
The great thing
about letting With Thoughts Of You be a vendor at a fair like this is that we
like to try to raise funds for the school while we sell our products. We use
our gift cards as a way to put some of our fundraising efforts into action.
This provides an almost effortless way for the school to raise money for the
day. If gift cards are bought at the fair, a portion of the proceeds from gift
card sales goes right to the school by the end of the day. We like to help when
we can make it possible and hopefully you do too!
